US Muslim, Arab teams pen letter to Biden earlier than mass Washington rally for Gaza

On the eve of the March on Washington for Gaza, 80 Muslim and Arab teams urge President Biden to stop US help for Israel’s conflict on Gaza.

A letter signed by dozens of Muslim and Arab teams within the US has been shared publicly with the intention of pressuring US President Joe Biden to name for a ceasefire in Israel’s conflict in Gaza.

The letter, despatched by the American Muslim Process Pressure on Palestine, and signed by 80 Muslim-American, Arab-American and Palestinian-American teams, together with the Council on American-Islamic Relations, says that Biden’s coverage on Israel has “severely broken” his ties with their communities. 

“Prematurely of this weekend’s March on Washington for Gaza, we – the undersigned Muslim American, Arab American and Palestinian American leaders and organizations – implore you to finish your help for the Israeli authorities’s genocidal conflict crimes towards Palestinian civilians in Gaza right this moment,” the letter to Biden learn.

It went on to remind the president that Arabs and Muslims have been amongst his strongest supporters when he was operating for workplace in 2020.

“Your administration should change course on its dealing with of this disaster, which has severely broken your standing with many People, particularly Muslim and Arab communities who had been robust supporters of your presidency,” the letter stated.

“Whenever you took workplace, your swift motion to repeal the Muslim and Africa Bans and appoint racial and non secular minorities to a report variety of positions have been optimistic steps that signaled the potential for a greater relationship with the American Muslim neighborhood than any prior administration,” it added.
